6 Natural Cures for Erectile Dysfunction

Back in the day, the only people that suffer from erectile dysfunction are men over 40 years of age. However, it has been found out that even younger men can experience this condition to some degree.
Erectile dysfunction is one of the most common sexual dysfunctions that can befall a man. Its symptoms may include one’s inability to get an erection and one’s inability to keep an erection long enough for sexual intercourse.
Although certain medications like Viagra and male enhancement pills are proven to work, there is now some substantial evidence to suggest that a healthy lifestyle can do wonders in preventing or, at least, mitigating the negative effects of ED.
Today, I am going to talk about some natural cures for erectile dysfunction.

A Healthy Diet

It should come as no surprise that for a man to prevent erectile dysfunction, he must always follow a healthy diet. I don’t favor any diet plans but what I would recommend is that you get your fill of whole grains, lean protein, fruits, and vegetables.
In one study, a group of men who have an average waistline of 32-35 inches is less likely to suffer from ED than those who have a waistline of 40 inches and above.

Regular Exercise

Do you know how Viagra works? Well, it is a medication that can help increase nitric oxide levels in your blood vessels, allowing for blood circulation down under. Well, regular exercise can actually do the same thing.
According to Dr. Zachary R. Mucher, a urologist, regular exercise coupled with a healthy diet are the best natural approaches to prevent erectile dysfunction, especially for men over the age of 35.
There is some credence to what Dr. Mucher said. Exercise can help your heart become more efficient in pumping blood. Not only that but exercise can help stimulate the production of testosterone- a man’s main sexual hormone.

Quit Smoking

People smoke for a variety of different reasons but whatever your reason is for doing such an activity, it is best that you break the habit.
Tobacco contains nicotine– the active ingredient in cigarettes. This substance is a known vasoconstrictor which, when taken in large quantities, can restrict or impede blood flow to the different areas of your body (that is why smokers are more susceptible to ED than their non-smoking counterparts).

Take Supplements

No matter how well-rounded your nutrition may be, you might still not be getting the right vitamins and minerals in the right quantities. Fortunately, there are supplements for men out there that are specifically designed to cater to the different needs of a man.

Limit Your Alcohol Intake

Despite the fact that alcohol is taken as liquid courage, it actually doesn’t do well for you, sexually speaking. That is because alcohol is a depressant which means that it could potentially lead to a lower sex drive, hence your susceptibility to ED.
As a man, it is probably ingrained in us to chug beer on a regular basis. But, if you do drink every day, limit your intake to 1 or 2 bottles.

Get Adequate Amounts of Sleep

Sleep is always an important part of our lives. In fact, a healthy person sleeps a third of their entire lives. That being said, it is important that you get at least 6-8 hours of sleep per night (I’ve stated a range simply because not all men are equal).
Getting adequate amounts of sleep is a natural way for you to prevent erectile dysfunction.
